bespoke ceramics
about
When I first started throwing just after lockdown, my sole intention was to take some time out for myself, re-ground & re-set. As I developed my practice, I quickly ran out of shelf space and fell hopelessly in love with clay. I realised that I needed to shift my focus in order to justify spending more and more time learning and improving.
I mainly create wheel-thrown pieces from my home studio on the South Wales Coast. I also love to explore hand-built vessels for certain projects. My current focus is on collaborating with restaurants, developing a range of ceramics for their tables.
My work tends to be earthy and organic in shape with lots of texture. I particularly love grogged clay bodies and how these interact with matte glazes. I’ve been pushing my practice forward recently, teaching myself to throw with bigger pieces of clay and enjoying the journey.
